What is the Roebucks Academy?

The Academy has been founded to provide a professionally run rugby programme within a small network of further education establishments in the borough of Greenwich.

We work closely with our players to help them fulfil their potential both in the classroom and on the pitch. No rugby experience is necessary to take part in the programme but players should be committed and athletic.

Our programme ensures players are looked after and developed both on and off the pitch with training delivered by our elite coaching team. We will invest in them as humans as well as athletes, with support and seminars across a range of topics.

The Programme

Launched in September 2021, players enjoy team-based training sessions and matches on Wednesday afternoons at our training base, as well as having access to first class Strength and Conditioning support and skills training before and after school. Each player will receive a kit bundle including training and match kit.

It is imperative for us that our players are committed to their education and as such we will be working in close alliance with our partner schools.
