Bridging Year 11 into Year 12

The step up between Year 11 and Year 12 is one of the largest in education. Year 12 students suddenly need to get to grips with more homework, independent work, a faster pace of learning, longer assessments and the independence to manage more of their time. We offer our new year 12 cohort a full induction day in the Summer term to allow them to fully experience life at our Sixth Form and meet their new peers, and we carefully plan a lengthy induction in September to familiarise students with our routines, expectations and where they can find support. To bridge the academic gap from Year 11 into Year 12, we also offer bridging work for Year 11 students in subjects as follows:
