In a proud moment for The John Roan School, ten remarkable Year 11 students were honoured in assembly with Silver Award certificates and badges for their outstanding achievements in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award programme. After dedicating several months to the rigorous demands of the Award, including volunteering, physical activities, skill development, and challenging navigation trips that concluded with a demanding 3-day and 2-night camping expedition, these students have emerged triumphant.
The Silver Award represents not just a commitment to personal growth and community service but also resilience, perseverance, and teamwork. Our students' journey through this program has been a testament to their incredible dedication and hard work. Receiving the Silver Award is a significant achievement, marking their successful completion of a series of challenges that have equipped them with valuable life skills and experiences.
We are immensely proud of our students for reaching this milestone. Their achievements are a beacon of inspiration for their peers and a celebration of the enduring spirit of adventure and self-improvement that the Duke of Edinburgh's Award seeks to foster. Congratulations to our young achievers on this remarkable accomplishment. Your hard work, dedication, and spirit of adventure have been duly recognised, and we look forward to seeing where your newfound skills and confidence take you next.
